New Vegan Shoe Line Launched by Matt & Nat!
Matt & Nat, a vegan Canadian accessory company known best for their handbags, have announced the launch of their new line of vegan shoes! The company was launched in Montreal in 1995, and focused on providing animal-free materials since its inception. According to their website:
“From the start, being committed to not using leather or any other animal-based materials in our designs felt natural to us. Each season, we continue to explore new innovative ways to remain sustainable and eco-friendly. Over the years, we’ve been experimenting with different recycled materials such as recycled nylons, cardboard, rubber and cork.”
Since 2007, Matt & Nat have also created linings made only with 100% recycled plastic bottles–and even recycled bicycle tires! Fans of the brand can expect the same ethically sourced materials for the shoes, which come in three different categories: sandal, sneaker, and oxford. On the insole of every shoe one can find the print: “no animals were hurt making this shoe”.
Matt & Nat products can be found in Canada, the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan and Australia. Prices begin at $88, and some models are already sold out!
