Philadelphia Just Opened Up a Vegan Donut Shop!
Vegans in West Philadelphia have a new reason to wake up in the morning: the promise of fresh donuts in an all-vegan shop. Dottie’s Donuts has been serving patrons their delectable bakery goods through area cafes and shops and finally has a place to call home. The shop opened up on Springfield Avenue last week and hopes to draw in its loyal customers to its brick and mortar location.
Owners Jeff Poleon and Matt Quinn report using coconut milk and powdered egg replacer in their pastries. Check out some of the flavors they are proud to feature:
“Raspberry lemon, we’ve got a powdered sugar, we’ve got a classic vanilla bean glaze, cinnamon sugar, coconut milk chocolate, lemon poppy, Earl Grey, milk chocolate with roasted cacao. The green one is matcha pistachio.”
As if there isn’t enough reason to visit the growing vegan destination Philadelphia, the addition of a vegan donut shop makes a visit even sweeter.
