Veggie Grill to Expand to the Midwest and East Coast!
The exclusively west coast, game-changing Veggie Grill restaurant will be exclusively west coast no longer. The chain is expanding its 29 existing restaurants to include locations in cities such as Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Atlanta, Miami, and Washington D.C. They even have their sights set on college campuses and healthcare facilities, which would bring healthier and more compassionate fare to more people on-the-go.
Greg Dollarhyde, the company’s CEO, describes the chain’s consumers, 70 to 80 percent of which are omnivores, as “veggie positive.” The trend of focusing meals on healthier fare has been taking off in the western world and people all over are asking for less meat-centric meals. He told Nation’s Restaurant News:
“We get people who just want to eat in the better-for-you space. This is a theme in America, now, I think… If you told me five years ago we’d have a restaurant doing $2.7 million serving vegan food, I would have laughed.”
Veggie Grill makes sure to stay plugged in to what consumers want. In recent years they have revamped their menus to bring fresh ideas to their food, with great success. The next step will be expanding their restaurants so more people can enjoy their delicious and cruelty-free dishes.
