Colleen Patrick-Goudreau is Hosting a Compassion Immersion Retreat!
Beloved advocate, author, and orator Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, a.k.a. the Joyful Vegan, is hosting a two-day Compassion Immersion Retreat to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of her successful Food for Thought podcast. Attendees will spend the weekend of May 28 and 29 in Oakland, California, to partake in eye-opening lectures on all aspects of compassionate living. A few lucky “intimate” retreaters will even be treated to a meet and greet in Colleen’s home.
The event, sponsored by So Delicious and Field Roast, is perfect for everyday activists who struggle with maintaining compassion for the humans around them as they continue to fight for animals. Colleen has a long record of sparking meaningful reflection on how to healthily interact with loved ones, friends, and even aggressors who challenge ethical veganism, directly or not.
Some of the lecture and workshop topics include “Choosing the Most Effective Type of Advocacy,” “The Importance of Practicing Self-Compassion,” and also “Finding Compassion for Everyone (Even for Those Who Harm Animals).” Reserve your spot soon if this is just the type of reboot your activism needs!
