Vegan Chocolate Company Presented with Royal Award in Britain!
We all have our favorite vegan products and companies. But how many of them have received actual recognition from a queen and prime minister and confirmation that their products and company are actually royally good?
That is the case for Britain’s Moo Free Chocolates, a vegan company that opened in 2010 specializing in organic gluten-free, lactose-free, wheat-free, soy-free and casein-free rice-milk based chocolates. Sounds great, and even the Queen herself noticed! Moo Free was presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2016, which is the “highest official UK award for British businesses”.
With the awards being in their 50th year, they recognize the best British companies in different categories and are announced on April 21 annually, the date of the Queen’s birthday. Moo Free was recognized for their “outstanding achievement” in international trade, as they were able to triple their exports and sell to over 30 countries, open a second factory, and make 200 tons of their rice-milk chocolate every year.
The 200 tons of chocolate created include the flavors original, orange, mint, crunchy banana, cranberry and hazelnut, caramelized hazelnut, and bunnycomb, a honey-free honeycomb option!
Congratulations Moo Free, and we have a feeling that after the official blessing from the Queen, the amount of vegan chocolate in Britain and beyond is going to see a significant rise!
