Yard House's 66 Locations Now Feature "The Vegan Burger"
While vegan restaurants vary depending on the type of food they serve, they tend to be generally associated with “healthy eating”. However, those who are not new to the plant-based eating scene know that vegans have their fair share of “guilty pleasure” restaurants, and they include places like Doomie’s, where the vegan Big Mac has come to life, or places that serve veganized standard pub fare that is meant to compliment a cold (isinglass-free) beer.
While Yard House is not a vegan restaurant, it genuinely seems to be adapting to the times with its very impressive vegetarian and vegan menu, which features a lot of Gardein products. Not only that, but their menu marks the meal options that can also suit vegetarians or vegans by swapping the animal product for a Gardein one. With Miami New Times calling it the “the perfect bar for vegans” in 2014, the place seems to have become even better with a new addition to the menu. According to VegNews, “The Vegan Burger” consists of:
“Plant-based Gardein and an umami-flavored veggie patty that our chefs mix with red quinoa, kale, and shiitake mushrooms that have been seasoned with garlic, onions, and miso, topped with dairy-free Daiya mozzarella, avocado, tomato, arugula, and onion on an onion, poppy seed bun.”
Talk about an impressive-sounding burger! With so many locations in the United States, it is great to know that the incredible plant-based options available at Yard House will be accessible to so many people!
