Velvet 59: Cruelty-Free Vegan Makeup Shop Opens in California!
It’s an exciting time for vegan and cruelty-free makeup. Shoppers can choose from so many lines, some of which include Kat Von D Beauty, The Body Shop, Juice Beauty and Colour Pop. The news has officially become more exciting, with Velvet 59, a company dedicated to vegan and cruelty-free makeup, opening up shop in California last week.
The company itself, which was founded by Paris Manning in 2014, includes products such as contour palettes, lipsticks, glosses, eyeshadows and more, with ingredients meant to nourish your skin. The Velvet 59 store opened up at 49 Vantis Drive in Aliso Viejo, California on August 19, with an opening party featuring champagne and macaroons. According to OC Weekly, it will go beyond being a makeup store:
“Velvet 59 recently opened a flagship store in Aliso Viejo, where Manning will host special makeup certification classes with industry professionals acting as guest teachers.”
All of Velvet 59’s products are paraben and gluten free, and the company’s motto is “if it harms an animal or a child, it’s not real beauty.” To see the store’s products and stay up to date on the makeup classes, check out their website!
