Bali's Second Annual Vegan Festival Takes Place This Weekend!

Bali’s second annual Vegan Festival is set to take place this weekend from Friday October 7 until Sunday October 9 in the city of Ubud. Created by Liat Solomon, founder of Earth Cafe & Market, she hopes to continue on “the success of last year’s festival” and organize “bigger and better events for 2016.” According to the website:
“Just some of the events and workshops taking place are daily free yoga classes, Qi Con meditation, a children’s circus, Jamu workshops, multiple talks and lectures, film screenings and music from some of Bali’s best DJ’s and musicians!”
The festival will be celebrated within two venues–Paradiso Ubud and Taksu Spa and aims to “inspire, educate and enlighten us all, and is open to vegans and the vegan-curious alike.” The schedule is packed with classes and workshops dedicated to raw, probiotic and macrobiotic food, as well as herbal tonics and essential oils. The speakers feature Sea Shepherd’s Asia Director Gary Stokes, Ambassador of Hungary Judit Németh-Pach, author Susianto Tseng, raw vegan chef Sayuri Tanaka, and much more!
