Ben & Jerry's Vegan Ice Cream Line Coming to Canada!
When Ben & Jerry’s released their almond milk-based vegan ice creams last year, Canadians were left wondering when the four flavors would make their way up north. Holding on to the vague promise of “sometime in 2017,” patience began to run dry after word came out that two new flavors were added–with rumors of a third.
Now, finally, a date has been set. For those living in Toronto, you have the opportunity to get earlier access to two vegan flavors this Valentine’s Day by delivery. For those living outside of Toronto, don’t worry, as the dairy-free ice creams are set to hit Canadian shelves starting on February 27. According to the press release:
“Beginning this Valentine’s Day, Toronto residents will be able to order pints of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream on-demand. The new delivery service, which will be made available into summer 2017, includes three popular flavour options: Cherry Garcia®, Half Baked®, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and introduces two hotly anticipated non-dairy flavours: P.B. & Cookies Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert and Coffee Caramel Fudge Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert.”
The vegan pints will be made available for $9.99 with a delivery charge of $4.99, which is waived in cases where three or more pints are ordered. The on-demand delivery for Ben & Jerry’s will begin on February 14 from 12:00pm to 10:00pm, and will feature a special promotion for Valentine’s Day where customers can buy two pints for the price of one by using the code SHARETHELOVE (case sensitive).
As for the remaining four (or five) vegan flavors, let’s hope they are also made available in 2017–while we enjoy the options of P.B. & Cookies and Coffee Caramel Fudge!
