Manchester's Ice Shack Goes Vegan!
Now I really have to update our list of omnivore restaurants that became 100% vegan! Just last week, London-based cafe The Fields Beneath ditched dairy, and today Manchester-based ice cream shop Ice Shack will launch its new 100% vegan menu!
According to the shop’s website, “the vegan freezer (gluten, nut and dairy free) holds 22 flavours on rotation” with “32 total flavours” of ice cream and sorbet available. Fat Gay Vegan–who will also have a flavor named after him–announced the news last week, and added:
“Ice Shack will feature a chocolate counter hosting more than 20 vegan dark, milk and white chocolate truffles, a raw [and sugar-free] chocolate range featuring five flavours, chocolate shortbreads and a vegan dog biscuit range with peanut butter and carrot treats. Want a milkshake? You can choose between soy, almond or oat milk at Ice Shack.”
The menu also includes over 20 vegan toppings, as well as cakes, waffles, cookies, doughnuts and hot drinks. Check out the amazing variety of options right here and if you’re in Manchester, make sure to try Ice Shack’s delicious desserts in person!
