Vegan & Cruelty-Free Hair Care Featured on the Red Carpet
Some of Hollywood’s most glamorous stars are getting the vegan hair treatment in order to get red carpet-ready.
Hollywood Reporter notes that stylist Peter Gray, “who has been a vegetarian since the age of 7 and vegan for most of his adult life,” used vegan and cruelty-free hair care line ABBA for Kate Hudson and Stella McCartney when glamming them up for the Met Gala in New York on Monday night. Stating that “people don’t have to be granola to be environmentally conscious,” Gray added that he tries to “support environmental products” and aims to “seek out products that don’t test on animals.”
Hudson’s “nod to the evening’s avant-garde theme” was an “editorialized top knot,” and Gray used ABBA’s Dry Shampoo and Firm Finish Hair Spray to set and hold the style in place. McCartney‘s “ode to old-school glamour” resulted in a “Jerry Hall-inspired look, featuring a cornrow part with waves,” with the Dry Shampoo and Volumizing Root Lift Spray used to finalize the look.
