Vegan Comedy Webseries Coming Soon! [VIDEO]
A new vegan comedy webseries, Zoe and Charles, is currently in the works. The show follows “two best friends who want to enjoy life and find love — and want the world to go vegan!”
Charles Horn, an Emmy-nominated writer and producer known for his work in Robot Chicken and for authoring Meat Logic: Why Do We Eat Animals?, is the writer and creator behind this new series. An Indiegogo page has been set up for the initial mini season, which will consist of four webisodes, each running between 2-5 minutes each, followed by 10 webisodes, and eventually an entire first season (20 webisodes).
According to the fundraising page:
“We’re making a general comedy show for a broad audience with anyone and everyone in mind, no matter where they’re currently at. Our characters have the same human quirks and foibles as anyone else, but they just happen to also want a world where animals aren’t bred and killed for human pleasures.”
Horn, who plans to showcase “positive animal rights messages” and use Hollywood to be “part of the solution,” aims to keep comedy at the forefront:
“We will always aim for material that can make anyone laugh, even if they’re currently disagreeing with it. Sure, we have a definite point of view, just as any other show does, but we will always keep comedy as our focus. You’ll be vegan before you know it, anyway.”
