Craig Robinson: Veganism “much easier than I thought it would be”
We recently wrote about how actor and comedian Craig Robinson stated he was “learning the ways of the vegan” with a new focus on a plant-based lifestyle.
Today, the Ghosted star was a featured guest on Harry Connick Jr.’s new talk show, Harry. According to E! Online, Robinson credited “his new vegan diet and a decision to quit alcohol” for his 50-pound weight loss. He stated:
“I haven’t been drinking, since January I just put down the alcohol I was going to detox…I had heard, I don’t know how true it is, but I heard you can regenerate your liver in six months. I was like let me see if I can go six months and I just haven’t gone back and then working out and I’ve been trying this vegan lifestyle too.”
In the trailer for the episode (available below), Connick Jr. notes he was “a vegan for a year,” but found “going back home to New Orleans” to be a “nightmare.” While Robinson noted that he missed mac and cheese, he stated:
“There are so many great vegan restaurant and dishes. It’s much easier than I thought it would be.”
Hopefully he finds out about chef Jamie Oliver’s vegan mac ‘n’ cheese recipe! You can watch the trailer for the episode below:
