Australian Cafe Ditches Dairy, Goes Vegan
Conscious Cravings Co., a coffee shop in Moorooduc, Australia, has announced that as of February 15, it is ditching dairy and becoming a vegan cafe.
The announcement was posted on Facebook:
“SUPER EXCITED to announce that as of Feb 15 we will be 100% plant based. Which means we will be phasing out cows milk. The dairy industry is an industry we do not want to continue to support for ethical, environmental and animal welfare reasons. We have a great selection of delicious plant based milks that we can not wait for you to try. If you would usually have dairy come in and have free samples of our house blends. Thank you for supporting us to help make our world a better place ❤️❤️❤️”
After experiencing an overwhelmingly positive response to the decision, the cafe wrote:
“We would love to say a big thank you for all the support we have received in our decision to being 100 % plant based cafe and ditching the dairy. We would like to share this information to help educate those who believe dairy farming is an ethical industry. We understand that there are dairy farmers who are practising more sustainable and less cruel methods of farming however the fate of the animals is still the same.”
Located at 8/475 Moorooduc Highway, Conscious Cravings Co. serves handmade cakes, specialty coffees, lunch options, and acai bowls using raw, organic and sugar-free ingredients.
Looks like we need to update our list of omnivore restaurants that went vegan!
