Impossible Sliders Now Available at All White Castle Locations
UPDATE: As of today, all 322 White Castle locations throughout the United States serve the Impossible Slider!
According to Food & Wine,
“White Castle announced that it will be the first fast food chain to adopt the vegan Impossible Slider nationwide.”
The wider release should come as no surprise considering that the sales of the slider “exceeded expectations,” according to White Castle VP Jamie Richardson.
April 12, 2018: Impossible Foods and White Castle have officially teamed up to offer $1.99 Impossible Sliders!
Grub Street notes that starting tomorrow, the slider-version of the Impossible Burger will be “available all day long at 140 locations scattered across New York and New Jersey, and in the Chicago area.” Costing just $1.99, the sliders come on the “signature White Castle square bun,” topped with “pickles, onions, and smoked cheddar.”
While the Impossible Burger is available at a number of restaurants throughout the U.S., the article notes that this is the first fast-food chain to serve it.
According to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), buns at White Castle are now vegan, so in order for the slider to be completely plant-based, it would just have to be ordered without cheese.
