Freebirds World Burrito Joins Meatless Monday Movement
The eight-week campaign was launched on World Vegetarian Day (October 1) and will run through World Vegan Month in November.
Throughout the two months, Freebirds is encouraging guests to try its Tex-Mex take on Beyond Meat’s Feisty Crumbles, which has been available as an option on the menu since July 2018. According to the press release:
“To kick off the campaign and encourage guests to participate in Meatless Monday, Freebirds World Burrito will offer double Fanatic loyalty points for Beyond Meat® purchases every Monday in October. In November—World Vegan Month—the Meatless Monday celebrations will continue with a “buy three get the fourth free” promotion on Beyond Meat entrees.”
“All loyalty points and perks earned during the Meatless Monday campaign will be managed via the Freebirds Fanatics loyalty program, which can be accessed online, in restaurant or using the Freebirds mobile app. Freebirds Fanatic loyalty points can be cashed in for a variety of free food and exclusive swag.”
In addition to these in-store perks,
“Freebirds is partnering with Meatless Monday on a social media campaign, blogger outreach, content creation and more to help spread awareness of the benefits of going meatless one day a week and increase trial of Freebirds’ recently improved plant-based options!”
Freebirds notes that both vegans and omnivores can enjoy its “Tex-Mex take on Beyond Meat in customizable burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, bowls or salads.”
There are currently 75 Freebirds locations throughout Texas, Oklahoma, California, Utah, and Tennessee.
