Going vegan does not mean having to give up some of your favorite meaty foods, all you need to do is tweak the ingredients a bit and you’re back in business! Buffalo cauliflower has become common place at many vegan restaurants, and for good reason.

Here’s the recipe for the vegan ranch: https://www.clearlyveg.com/recipes/vegan-ranch

Steps

1
Done

Break off cauliflower into bite-size or a bit larger chunks.

2
Done

To make the batter, in a bowl combine 1 cup water, 1 cup brown rice flower, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp salt. Mix until smooth.

3
Done

Dip each cauliflower chunk into the batter, and then roll it in the breadcrumbs to get a good coating.

4
Done

Space out the cauliflower on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and then bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees Farenheit (177 degrees Celsius)... keep the oven on at this same temperature because we're going to use it again.

5
Done

While the cauliflower is in the oven, in a sauce pan mix together 1 cup olive oil, 2 tbsp white vinegar, and 2 cups vegan hot sauce. Stir over medium heat for 5-10 minutes.

6
Done

Coat the cauliflower bites with the hot sauce, and then back into the oven for 5 more minutes.

I'm Scott, and I started this site with the intention of creating a central hang out for veg*ns, and as a resource for anybody interested in learning more about vegetarianism. I believe that compassion towards animals and a plant-based lifestyle can go mainstream, and I'm doing my best to help that happen. When I'm not designing and building websites,I love spending time with my friends and family, cooking (trying to at least), watching movies and binge-watching TV shows, and spending time outside. My favorite eateries in the Seattle area are currently Wayward Vegan Cafe, and the No Bones About It food truck. I'm kind of a music fanatic, if you'd like to see what I'm listening to here's my Last.fm profile: http://www.last.fm/user/nombrecinq
